20-24 Merrick Street Worcster Project is Moving Along with the Help from Worcester YouthBuild Students
Each day, the incredible students of Worcester YouthBuild (Training Resources of America, Inc.) show up to 20-24 Merrick and get one step closer to turning this house into a home.
Check out the front porch! History and research tells us that front porches, though lost to a suburban development trend of privacy, are critical community building spaces. Imagine relaxing on a warm summer night, saying hi to neighbors as they pass by.
Saint-Gobain/Norton and CertainTeed Volunteers Joined Us for a Day of Giving Back to the Community
On Wednesday, July 10th, volunteers from Saint-Gobain/Norton and CertainTeed joined our incredible Youthbuild students (from Training Resources of America, Inc.) for a day long adventure of installing gypsum. And oh what an adventure!
Shingles, and concrete, and insulation, oh my!
Every project we do is a labor of love and 20-24 Merrick is certainly taking the cake this year. Grateful as always for partners like Training Resources of America, Inc.‘s YouthBuild program and Saint-Gobain for supporting the creation of energy-efficient, affordable first-time homebuyer opportunities in our neighborhood.
20-24 Merrick Street Project is Humming Along!
Have you ever daydreamed about building a house from scratch? Our wonderful 20 – 24 Merrick project is humming along. Close your eyes and envision a brightly lit kitchen, cozy furniture, visiting with neighbors on the porch.
Shoutout to our partners at Training Resources of America, Inc. and Saint-Gobain for helping us make this a reality.
We are blown away by these talented YouthBuild students.
