Thanks to your support, we were able to accomplish a variety of achievements in affordable housing and community development this year. We expanded staff with two full time employees.  We completed the construction and sale of one home at 20 Merrick Street and began construction of another affordable, first-time homeownership opportunity at 24 Merrick Street.

 

We closed on a vacant property, 33 Merrick Street, with funding from UMass Memorial and their Anchor Mission Program, yet another first-time homeownership property.

 

We are making great progress on our 31-unit building at 126 Chandler Street and have secured plans for the greenhouse which will reside atop the building with hydroponic farming inside. Our EAT (Educational Agriculture Training) Centers are flourishing with beautiful crops harvested daily by our network of local growers. Our bioshelter is nearing completion; we had solar panels installed in November and plan to have insulation, the last step in the building project, coming soon. We could not have completed any of these projects without your support and thank you sincerely for your contributions.
