As we’ve talked about the last couple of PACT meetings, Chandler Street (between Park Ave and Main Street) will be undergoing a major redesign. Think downtown/Kelley Square. The project is a partnership between MassDOT, the City of Worcester, and the consulting firm WSP. These three groups are working on their own community engagement session which will happen at the end of June – it will be an opportunity to learn specifically about the project scope and provide input on the design.

Ahead of that session, a couple of stakeholders are hoping to equip residents with the knowledge and tools to be active participants through the process. Please join us this coming Saturday June 12^th any time between 10am and 2pm @ The Mustard Seed (93 Piedmont) for our drop-in tabling event! This event is flexible, family-friendly, and dare we say, FUN! Folks can learn and participate in both English and Spanish. We will be sharing information about:

• Chandler Street project + upcoming community engagement session
• Basic street design concepts and an activity for you to share your own experience/give input on how you travel within the neighborhood
• Virtual Pedestrian 101/Walk Audit info session hosted by WalkBoston on June 24^th  (kind of like a street design scavenger hunt)
