Worcester Common Ground seeks a dynamic Facilities Manager who is passionate about our affordable housing properties, our resident-led community development efforts, and views our portfolio with a social justice and anti-racist lens, to join our team. 

The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Asset Manager and will be responsible for the following: 

Facilities manager is responsible for the health and long-term operations of Worcester Common Ground real estate. This position is to provide coordination of custodial and maintenance services for all properties owned by WCG. The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under their direction and control. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Process and complete maintenance intakes on Excel 
  • Coordinate and/or complete repairs during apartment turnovers 
  • Schedule Sec. 8 Inspections 
  • Inspect common areas weekly and units yearly 
  • Implement preventative maintenance procedures 
  • Inspect all mechanical systems and repair as needed 
  • Pursue diverse vendor contracts 
  • Provide 24 hour emergency response (Will be shared with Asset Manager) 
  • Maintain log of service calls and emergencies 
  • Prepare Incident reports when damage to property or tenants occurs 
  • Ability to navigate and accommodate varying cultures within homes 

Skills required: 

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish required.
