The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, donated $125,000 to Worcester Common Ground as part of the foundation’s Housing for Everyone grant competition, which provides funding to nonprofits to improve access to safe, clean and affordable housing in communities from Maine to Florida.
We are thrilled and humbled to be a recipient of the Department of Housing and Community Development's 2019 Affordable Rental Housing Awards! This funding will allow us to convert an abandoned razor factory and vacant lot at 120 - 126 Chandler Street into 31 units of affordable housing and street level commercial space including a large community room for neighborhood gatherings.
